Two children from the Indigenous community of Patancha, high in the Cusco region, play during the Queñual Raimy celebration, an event that promotes the reforestation of high-Andean forest headwaters to restore the ecosystem that provides the water they rely on for agriculture.

Musuk Nolte (Ciudad de México, 1988 / Nationalized Peruvian) bridges documentary and artistic photography to explore social issues like memory and environmental degradation. He holds a degree in Professional Photography and has won awards such as the World Press Photo (2023) and the X National Photography Award (2009). A FONCA Fellow (2010), ON AIR Residency participant (2007), Magnum Foundation grantee (2017), and National Geographic Explorer, Nolte has presented 18 solo shows and exhibited at venues like MALI, Les Rencontres d'Arles, and Paris Photo. He has published eight books, including Geographies of Water and Las pertenencias del aire, and founded KWY Ediciones in 2013 to support Latin American visual narratives.
