Jaisingh Nageswaran is a self-taught lens-based artist and curator from Vadipatti, India. His practice is rooted in acknowledging the land and language he hails from. Through documenting his own family history, he represents and discusses the broader social implications involved. In recent years, his work has received the Grand Prix KG+ Select at the KYOTOGRAPHIE Festival in Japan, he participated in the Khoj Curatorial Intensive South Asia Fellowship in India, and he was awarded the Musée du Quai Branly Jacques Chirac Photography Award in France.
