Hassaan Gondal is a photographer from Dandot, a remote industrial town on the foothills of the Salt Range Mountains in central Punjab, Pakistan. Both at the business school he attended and the central bank where he worked for a few years, Gondal often felt that his values were at odds with the pervasive neoliberal influence around him. He deals with this dissonance through photography and continues to dissect this disparity in his practice. Using this medium, Gondal hopes to understand and highlight issues around class identity and barriers to social mobility.
